What is Yaz and it's Side Effects?
Yaz
is an oral contraceptive developed by Bayer AG that was released on the market
in 2006 after FDA approval. Yaz was supposed to be the new wonder drug; not
only preventing pregnancies, but was supposed to cure the effects of
Premenstrual Syndrome. Instead most women who took Yaz developed severe
complications from taking the drug. They developed life threatening blood
clots, which in turn led to strokes, heart attacks and Deep Vein Thrombosis in
a large number of patients. The main ingredient in Yaz is an artificial
progesterone called drospirenone. Drospirenone has been known to elevate
Potassium levels as it acts as a diuretic.
The most common Yaz side effects include Upper Respiratory Infections, elevated
potassium levels, migraines, weight loss, urinary bleeding, and even elevated
glucose levels. The more severe and even fatal side effects that Bayer AG
failed to disclose include the elevated risk of blood clots, anaphylactic
reactions and irregular heartbeats. Bayer AG has been repeatedly warned by the
FDA about their marketing practices as well as the quality of ingredients they
have used in their facilities.

cases have been consolidated into one Federal Litigation court case in
Illinois. Despite the civil litigations against Yaz and Bayer; Yaz still
